Tuesday, May 1, 2012 Law Day/Liberty Bell Award: This year the Liberty Bell Award was presented to Pierre Gaston for his longtime volunteer work with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). He started his service to the organization in 1990 and has served hundreds of children over the years.

Thursday, May 3, 2012 Barrister’s Banquet: The Distinguished Service Award for 2012 was given to Retired Judge Frederic A. Jacobus. The award is given to a lawyer or judge who exemplifies the highest ideals of legal service, professionalism and ethics.  Judge Jacobus in January took inactive status with the State Bar after 65 years of practicing law.
